Google Gemini: The Multimodal Master
Where ChatGPT wins on strict obedience, Gemini completely dominates in multimodality. Gemini processes a massive amount of mixed media—video, audio, images, and text—natively.
Other models use roundabout, clunky ways to “watch” a video or “listen” to audio. Gemini does it effortlessly. Thanks to its massive 1-million to 2-million token context window, it can ingest an hour-long meeting recording, a 20-slide deck, and a photo of a messy whiteboard all at once without choking.
- Best Use Case: Synthesizing massive files. Upload a messy screen recording of a workflow and ask Gemini to turn it into a perfectly formatted, ready-to-use Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Claude: The First-Draft Phenom
Claude’s absolute superpower is producing exceptionally high-quality first drafts. Whether you are writing code or copy, Claude’s initial attempt is usually much closer to a finished product than its competitors.
Developers universally agree that Claude writes functional, bug-free code on the first try far more consistently. Beyond coding, Claude is exceptionally good at style matching. If you feed it your past blog posts or corporate presentations, it replicates your human tone almost perfectly, requiring far fewer revisions.

Specialist AI: Purpose-Built Precision
Let’s clear up a common misconception: not every AI tool is a foundational model built for reasoning. Some are built purely for fetching and verifying.
Perplexity: The Search Scalpel
General-purpose chatbots are built to help you think, brainstorm, and create. Perplexity is built to fetch. It uses fine-tuned models optimized specifically for speed and accuracy in search.
When you are planning the creative narrative of a project, use ChatGPT. But when you need grab-and-go information—like instantly verifying a specific technical spec or checking real-time data—Perplexity is your go-to. Think of it as a highly accurate replacement for traditional Google searching.

NotebookLM: The Walled Garden
NotebookLM’s biggest advantage is that it only answers based on the sources you provide. It effectively eliminates hallucinations because it has no outside knowledge to draw from.
If you upload a final script alongside your original research documents, NotebookLM will cross-reference them and flag any tiny discrepancies or unsupported claims that other AI models might confidently gloss over.
